Fabric mountains for our train set

We had some spare cuttings from our baby mattress which we recycled for the dining chairs. So I covered them in tree fabric for our son to use with his train set as a mountain range.

Amy Butler Barcelona Skirt

I had a go at the Amy Butler Barcelona Skirt pattern, which I bought at the terrific Wai Ariki Farm Park patchwork shop at Hanmer Springs. I loved the skirts that people showed on flickr etc, but I´m not too sure I like mine as much as I thought I would. It flares out a lot from the top of the hips (I´m not standing straight in the photo anyway), whereas I prefer a-line skirts to be slightly straighter. The pattern was easy to follow though.

Baby pouch sling
